Project Manager – Construction

About the opportunity

The Project Manager will be responsible for the overall planning, execution, and successful completion of construction projects. The role will manage project teams, subcontractors, consultants, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, and contractual requirements.

Responsibilities

• Manage the complete project lifecycle from mobilization through construction, completion, and final handover.
• Develop and monitor project execution plans, schedules, milestones, and resources in coordination with the planning team.
• Lead and manage project engineers, site teams, subcontractors, and other project personnel.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, authorities, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal departments to ensure smooth project execution.
• Monitor project progress, costs, manpower, materials, equipment, and resources against approved plans and budgets.
• Review drawings, specifications, BOQs, method statements, and technical requirements to ensure proper execution.
• Manage variations, additional works, claims, and other commercial matters in coordination with the Quantity Surveyor/commercial team.
• Monitor subcontractor and supplier performance and ensure timely completion of their assigned works.
• Ensure construction works comply with approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, HSE requirements, and applicable UAE regulations.
• Identify project risks, delays, technical issues, and resource constraints and implement appropriate corrective or recovery actions.
• Prepare and review regular project progress reports and provide management with updates on project status, risks, costs, and key issues.
• Coordinate testing, inspections, snagging, rectification, final handover, and project close-out documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• 7–8 years of relevant experience in the construction/contracting sector.
• Minimum 4–5 years of experience in a Project Manager or similar senior project management role.
• Proven experience managing construction projects in the UAE.
• Strong knowledge of construction processes, project planning, cost control, and contract administration.
• Experience managing clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and project teams.
• Good knowledge of construction drawings, BOQs, specifications, and project documentation.
• Proficiency in MS Office; knowledge of Primavera P6, MS Project, and AutoCAD is an advantage.
• Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• UAE driving license is preferred.
